Band Following the merger of
British European Airways and British Overseas Airways
Corporation in 1978 to form British Airways the band became
known as The British Airways Band.
1995 was a special year for The British Airways Band when it was
invited to play at a Royal Garden Party in the presence of HRH
The Queen, and HRH Prince Charles
In more recent times the band remains active in the local
community, providing concert, and parade performances for local
charities and organisations such as the Harrow branch of the
Parkinson’s Disease Association, and the Anthony Nolan Trust at
their Heathrow Midnight 10 kilometre run.
Famous venues for performances include Lord’s cricket ground for
an England international test match against Australia,
prestigious dinners at the Mansion House in London and marching
down The Mall to perform at Horse Guards Parade.
