Who We Are:

An extension of the ministry of local churches.

90 member churches working with synagogues and other organizations to address hunger and homelessness in the community.

250 community volunteers of all ages caring for people living in poverty.

People of faith seeking to feed the hungry and welcome the stranger.

Stewards of the future, giving back to the community so that others may live with dignity.

What We do:

Offer two housing programs to meet the needs of our participating families.

Operate three Food Security Program sites that provide food to low income people.

Operate several community based programs designed to assist the community in dealing with homelessness, hunger and education.

Golden State British Brass Band

The Golden State British Brass Band, a non-profit, community organization, was founded in 1996 by Penny Dodd and Norm & Linda Taylor, and endeavors to rehearse, perform, and record music written and arranged in the traditional British Brass Band style. The band attracts its membership from all over the greater Los Angeles, California, USA region.

The Band has performed in concerts in various communities in Southern California including Los Angeles, Sierra Madre, Covina, Claremont, Temple City, La Habra, and for the California Music Educators Association Conference. The Band has also appeared at Disneyland, the Nixon Library, and the annual Queen's Birthday Ball.

Upland, San Bernardino County, CA

Upland is about 25 miles east of Los Angeles City center, close to Pomona on the above map.

The City of Upland was incorporated in San Bernardino County on May 15, 1906, and is nestled at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains. During the 20th century it has developed into a residential and retail community in which maintains its country and urban ambiance.

Upland has also retained its charm of the past. The Upland Town Center is quiet, leisurely place to shop in antique stores, custom shops, and visit fine restaurants.

Concert venues

Gardiner Whittier Spring Auditorium, Chaffey High School, Ontario, CA

The auditorium is part of the local high school in Ontario CA, east of Pomona and seats around 2000 people.

British Airways Band joined forces with local musican Bob for a moving finale of Amazing Grace at Chaffey's impressive auditorium.

First Presbyterian Church of Redlands, CA

Saturday evening saw a joint concert by the Britsh Airways Band and the Golden State British Brass Band at this beautiful Redlands church.

The audience particularly showed their appreciation of the skill and dexterity of percussionist Ray Northcott in his solo performance of Sparks

Pomona First Baptist Church, Pomona, CA

The sanctuary was designed to seat 2,000 people, with a choir loft for another 200.

British Airways Band participated in another joint concert with the Golden State British Brass Band

Disneyland Resort, Anaheim, CA

British Airways Band performed at Disneyland Resort in California with a 30 min concert and the rest of the day free to enjoy the entertainment !

Lake Arrowhead National Forest


Because of its central location in Southern California, day trips as well as overnight stays are easily accessible. There are enough attractions to keep you busy.

No matter how you wish to spend your vacation, on the go or luxuriating in the peace and quiet of our main attraction- the National Forest- Lake Arrowhead is ideal for everyone.

We're planning a trip to the mountain lake with our hosts and we will be able to take an hours tour on the lake and have lunch at one of the many resaurants in the village.
